About
I'm a Master Life Coach, but the work I care most about happens before the advice.
It happens in the conversation.
The honest one.
The one where someone finally says what they've been thinking, feeling, questioning, or carrying. The one where they don't have to clean it up first.
That's why I built EMPowered.
Much of my work centers on emotional health and how it quietly influences nearly every part of our lives: our relationships, our confidence, our decisions, our identity, and the way we move through change.
I'm especially interested in what I call our emotional language.
The way we express what we feel.
The way we communicate what we need.
The way we protect ourselves.
The way we respond when we feel misunderstood, disconnected, overwhelmed, or uncertain.
Most of us were never really taught how to understand that language in ourselves, much less recognize it in someone else.
And yet it affects almost everything.
I'm not interested in turning someone into a "better version" of themselves. I'm much more interested in helping them understand the version that is already there.
Why do I react this way?
Why is this so hard for me to say?
Why do I keep having the same conflict?
What am I actually needing here?
What am I feeling underneath what I'm saying?
Those questions matter.
My own life has had its share of transitions. I've raised a big family. I've built a marriage I deeply value. I've walked through changing beliefs, health challenges, grief, and the death of my daughter.
Those experiences changed me.
They also taught me that people don't always need someone to fix the hard thing.
Sometimes they need someone willing to stay in the conversation long enough to understand what is actually happening.
That is the kind of space I want EMPowered to be.
- A place for honest questions.
- Thoughtful conversations.
- Emotional understanding.
- Clear perspective.
- A place to understand yourself more deeply before deciding what comes next.
My training includes life coaching, relationships, emotional intelligence, breathwork, grief and death work, and music therapy.
But credentials only tell you so much.
What matters more to me is how someone feels when they are in the room with me.
Heard.
Respected.
Seen.
Not judged.
And not rushed.
When I'm not working, I'm usually with my favorite person, Mr. Big Hunk, cheering on my kiddos in whatever they are doing, riding my bike, or finding my way to a beach whenever possible.
If you see me on the trail, stop and say hi!
I've lived enough life to know there are very few simple answers.
